MATHS CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK – Dancing Shoes (For the second week running as nobody has given a correct answer yet….)

Well done to all those who attempted last week’s challenge, with Demi, Megan and Andie earning 5HPs each!

Now time for this week’s maths challenge…

At the dance competition people had to dance in different groups of people.

When they danced in couples, one person was left over.

When they danced in threes, one person was left over.

When they dance in fours, one person was left over.

When they danced in fives, one person was left.

HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE AT THE DANCE?

Leave a comment below with your answer!
(If you are from another school we would love it if you had a go too 🙂 )

Michael’s 100 word challenge…

STAMP! STOMP! STAMP! A low black figure stomped up a long winding street. You could see two large green eyes which could be mistaken for cats. This mysterious looking figure had a long shawl hanging of its shoulders. On its bony arm laid a fury object. Who is this? What is this? This unknown shadow had hair that looked like a long piece of barbed wire tangled. What was this?

Fidele’s 100 word challenge…

WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHA! My heart raced as I went down with a thud. All I could see was darkness. As I sat up I realized  that I was sitting on a key. But what for? Then I saw it a light leading to somewhere. I slowly staggered up following the light as it led.  The light vanished.
