MATHS CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK – Plus Plus Plus!
Well done to Charlie and Nicholas who answered the last maths challenge correctly with an answer of 27 triangles!
Here is your next maths challenge:
Where should you put plus signs between the digits below to make a total of 99?
9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1
For example, you could try:
9 + 8 + 76 + 6 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 21 = 126 (too high!)
9 + 8 + 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 45 (too low!)
There are two solutions to this problem but they are not easy to find so you may need to try a few different ways!

Hi everybody – hope you have a fun packed weekend!
Firstly we have a very serious issue to think about. We have found that some people have been posting inappropriate comments on the blog. Remember that all comments and posts come through to teachers before being posted and so even if your comment does not post onto the blog we can see it. I also know that some people are using other people’s accounts on this blog. This is a very serious issue and if this happens again you will be banned from using the blog. This is a fun place for us to share outside of school – do not ruin this opportunity with silly behaviour.
Secondly, on a more positive note, we have been recieving lots of extra pieces of work and pictures from people making their own pages at home!!! This is excellent and shows us that you are using the blog in a positive way – well done!
And finally… how exciting was Friday?! As you now know we had a gas leak in school which meant it was unsafe for us to come in. What did you do instead? Why not leave a comment below letting us know! (If your comment is correctly spelt you can have 2HPs!)

Blue Peter Badge!
This week Chloe has recieved something very special – A Blue Peter badge! Below Chloe explains how she achieved this:
“I went on to their website and saw that if you wrote a letter saying why you wanted a Blue Peter badge
and your details you could win one. It had to be at least 50 words long and very descriptive. Then I sent it off my letter. The people at Blue Peter would choose only a few people to get a badge. And I was one of them!!!!”
